Catch A Firefly
$12.75
*Kits are sold out.* Introducing Barbara Kingsolver’s Catch a Firefly pattern, inspired by her mesmerizing novel Prodigal Summer. This is Barbara’s second knitting design with Knitrino and she has once again created a delightful work of art in stranded colorwork that will illuminate your winter days. And best of all, you can choose your own adventure: this pattern includes options for mittens and gloves! A Note About Sizing: Like a painting, this project is a work of art with no repeated motifs throughout. Because of this, additional sizes can only be accomplished by changing gauge. The smaller size is worked on US 3/3.25 mm needles and yields a circumference that is about 7"/17.5 cm in circumference. The larger size is worked on US 4/3.75 mm, and yields a circumference of about 8"/20 cm in circumference. To choose your size, measure your hand circumference above the thumb. If larger than 7.5"/19 cm, you may wish to choose the larger size. For those needing further adjustment, consider experimenting with needle size, increasing or decreasing as appropriate. Construction Notes: This project starts at the cuff using 2 color stranded knitting. A pattern guide with additional videos and tips is available https://knitrino.com/pattern-guides/firefly here.
