Heidi's Dream
From $12.25
From designer Andrea Cull, Heidi's Dream combines a touch of lace with cables and garter stitch panels to create a beautiful yet wearable design. And the exquisite yarn will fill every stitch with comfort and delight. Heidi's Dream features a very special blend of Kid Cashmere and Merino from a small US-based farm that is doing important work in the breeding and care of fiber animals, and this hat is named after the inspiring owner, Heidi Dickens. She has teamed with Christine McBrearty-Hulse to create a new certification for Cashmere, called Clean Cashmere, that guarantees the quality of the fiber. When you buy Clean Cashmere, you're receiving yarn that meets or exceeds the content, fiber diameter and softness that you're expecting. Kid Cashmere is the soft undercoat on young goats, and so it is produced only in limited quantity by each goat. Construction Notes: This beanie-shaped hat begins at the brim with the German Twisted Cast On and is worked in the round. Following an increase round, the hat motif is worked to the crown. Cashmere blooms when blocking: If you swatch for this hat, ensure that you block your swatch before measuring gauge.
